310 Stainless Steel Sheet

310 stainless steel sheet

What is 310 stainless steel sheet ?

The stainless steel 310 sheet is a medium carbon austenitic stainless steel grade. A 310 Stainless Steel Sheet is designed with a carbon, manganese, phosphorous, sulfur, silicon, iron, chromium, and nickel content. The robust DIN 1.4845 Flat Sheet has comparable corrosion resistance and works well in oxidative environments. The sheets are resistant to sulfidation and are tolerant to moderately carburizing media. The sheets are easily wound into Stainless Steel 310 Coil and later cut into desired sizes. The sheets can be custom designed as per customer requirements.

The 310 stainless steel perforated sheets work well in high temperatures as well as low temperatures. These sheets have low magnetic permeability and good toughness in cryogenic temperatures up to -450 degrees F. The Werkstoff Nr.1.4845 checker plate is a lightweight metal that has good anti-slipping features. They can be utilized to decorate different applications. The ASTM A240 UNS S31000 Strips are easy to weld following standard shop fabrication processes.

Is 310 stainless steel plate food grade ?

The stainless steel 310 plate is food grade stainless steel. These devices are resistant to wear and tear while being heat resistant. An SS 310 Plate also has excellent corrosion resistance properties and long service life. All these features allow the SS 310 Hot rolled Plate to be a good choice for food grade industries.

Are you looking for stockists and importers of UNS s31000 strips and coil in the Middle East and Africa? You come to the right place, see 310 vs 304

What is the difference between 304 and SS 310 Plate

The 310 stainless steel sheet is designed having a higher chromium and nickel content than SS 304 grade. This gives them superior resistance to corrosive and oxidative reducers. The SS 304 grade is very ductile, while SS 310 grade is more brittle and harder. The 310 stainless Rolling Plate has better hardenability and is tolerant to wear in comparison to the SS 304 grade.

Stainless Steel 310 Coil yield strength vs temperature

The ss 310 has a minimum yield strength of 245mpa. As the temperature of the UNS S31000 Cold rolled Plate increases the yield strength slowly recedes.

310 vs 316 stainless steel sheet

The 310 and 316 stainless steel sheets are austenitic grades of the 300 series. The stainless steel 310 is designed with a higher content of chromium and nickel than the 316 grade. The SS 316 grade also has a small content of molybdenum which is not present in the 304 grade. The 310 stainless steel Clad Plate has better corrosion resistance in salt than the stainless steel 316 specification.

What is ASTM A240 UNS S31000 Strips annealing temperature ?

The SS 310 sheets are heat treated following the solution annealing process. A 310 SS Rolling Sheets can be solution annealed in temperatures between 1040 to 1065 degrees C. The sheets are then later water quenched after the heat treatment procedures.
