  • L is the length of the bend
  • D is the diameter of the pipe
  • θ is the angle of the pipe bend

For example, the length of the 5D pipe bend would be if you were to bend a 6″ (inch) pipe to a 90 deg angle

There can be undercuts, dents, or die marks as a result of poor manufacturing. The most important thing to check in a Piping 5D Bend is to check the markings.
