The fittings are formed at a specific higher temperature. After the fittings are formed, they are permitted to cool down rapidly at a temperature below the alloy’s critical range. The rate of cooling should be similar to the rate of air cooling.

The cold extrusion method is intended for the manufacture of small or medium size SA 234 Gr WP9 Cl1 Elbows.
