Difference between A420 WPL6 Elbow and Pipe Bend
The primary difference between A420 WPL6 Return bends and elbows lie in their structure. The bend comes with a larger radius compared to the A420 WPL6 Elbow . The bends have a radius more than twice the pipe diameter, whereas the radius of ASTM A420 WPL6 Material elbow is between one to twice the diameter of the pipe.
LTCS material temperature range
The LTCS Material is used for low temperature applications that occur below -150 deg F. The Low Temperature Carbon Steel Fittings are mostly found in cryogenic constructions of spaceships. The ASTM A420 WPL6 eccentric reducers are also used in chemical plants for applications taking place below -55 deg C.

Difference between ASTM A420 WPL6 3D, 5D, 6D & 8D elbow
The difference between ASTM A420 WPL6 3D, 5D, 6D & 8D elbow are in their bend radius. The 3D A420 WPL6 Elbow has the bend radius equal to 3 times the outside diameter of the pipe. For 5D the bend radius is 5 times the OD of the pipe. For 6D it is 6 times. And similarly, for 8D ASTM A420 WPL6-S Buttweld Elbow , the bend radius is equal to 8 times the pipe’s outer diameter.
