Properties Hastelloy c276 Inconel 825
Chemical content Hastelloy C276 is a tungsten-containing nickel, molybdenum, and chromium alloy. An alloy of nickel, iron, and chromium called Nickel 825 also includes titanium, Cu, and molybdenum.
Composition Because of its composition, it is perfect for extremely corrosive settings where halides and other halides are present. Because of the alloy’s composition, it resists corrosion well in abrasive conditions like phosphoric and sulfuric acids.
Mechanical properties Alloy C276 is less ductile, can tolerate minor temperatures, and has a high yield strength. Incoloy 825 is more ductile, can tolerate greater temperatures, and has a lower yield strength.
Corrosion resistance Seawater, the ocean, and chemical conditions with halides and other salts are better suited for C276 pipe. The ideal conditions for using Incoloy 825 are those that contain phosphoric and sulfuric acids.
Applications Many industries, including as chemical processing, oil & gas, desalination, and offshore drilling, employ nickel C276 extensively. Pipeline valves, storage tanks, and heat exchangers are common applications for Incoloy 825.
Cost  Hastelloy C276 is more expensive. Alloy 825 is less expensive.
