Din 2.4668 Square Bar has excellent creep resistance. In addition to having excellent short- and long-term mechanical characteristics, particularly at low temperatures, it has a high fatigue strength. It provides excellent weldability when used with arc and resistance welding processes. Additionally, the alloy can be age-hardened.

Nickel is added to stainless steel to make it more versatile as an alloy. The same was initially created for the aerospace industry, but it is now used in more than just engines, gas turbines, and other parts of the aircraft industry.

The alloy is ideal for hot extrusion tooling and components, such as casings, bolts, fasteners, rings, and instrumentation parts. Inconel Alloy 718 Flat Bar is also commonly used in the manufacture of aerospace, aircraft, and other components, including but not limited to:

When in contact with high heat, Inconel develops a shielding oxide layer that makes it resistant to heat.
