The Monel 400 is a solid solution hardened alloy. A Monel Alloy 400 Plate is designed with a chemical content of nickel, copper, iron, manganese, silicon, carbon, and sulfur. The superior content embedded in the Monel 400 Plate allows them to have good corrosion resistance and strength. These plates have enhanced stress-corrosion cracking and non-oxidizing chloride solutions. The Monel 400 Steel Plate is resistant to hydrochloric and sulfuric acids in modest temperatures and concentrations.

It can also be used for different acids. A Monel Alloy 400 Plate has tolerance to chloride induced stress corrosion cracking. These plates work in sub-zero temperatures up to 1020 degrees F. The BS 3073NA13 Hot Rolled Plate has poor resistance with oxidizing reducers like ferritic chlorides.

The Monel 400 plate has a density of 8.8 g/cm3 and showcases enhanced mechanical properties. The QQ-N-281 Clad Plate has a tensile strength between 517 to 620mpa. These plates have a yield strength between 172 to 345mpa and have a modulus of elasticity of 179Gpa.
